Adele Lambert

Adele Lambert (June 1977 – February 2026) was a deeply valued member of the transplant community. After receiving a life-saving lung transplant in 2013, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to supporting others. She played an active role within the Freeman Heart & Lung Transplant Association, serving in several positions, including Sports Manager, Secretary, and ultimately Chairperson.

Since 2018, she was also a committed member of the EHLTF Board and later served as Secretary. Adele was always a role model — honest, compassionate, and profoundly human. She was a strong and sincere advocate for transplant recipients, representing their interests with integrity, warmth, and unwavering dedication.

Her strength, kindness, and commitment will remain an inspiration to us all, and she will be remembered with deep gratitude and respect.

Our Mission Statement

"The European Heart and Lung Transplant Federation's mission is to become the trusted, respected and authoritative voice representing all Heart and Lung Transplant recipients throughout continental Europe".

In pursuit of our primary aims and objectives, it is the intention of the EHLTF to pursue a policy of enlargement and inclusion, embracing all European Countries who wish to be members, and to become an authoritative Pan-European Patient voice in all areas of Cardiothoracic Transplantation.

We will also seek to become the authoritative voice representing our growing membership in its dealing with the European Parliament in the maintenance, support and further development of cardio-thoracic transplantation and to communicate all or any developments to its membership.
